Curtis Packaging Uses Wind Power

Curtis is an eco-friendly printing and packaging company that manufactures custom folding cartons using 100% Renewable Energy. A veritable “one-stop shop,” Curtis’ many services include printing, die cutting, hot stamping, embossing, windowing, and finishing.

We have a major and continuous commitment to Green Power and have purchased clean, pollution-free renewable energy equal to 100% of our energy usage. Curtis will be buying a total of 4,524,800 kWhs of renewable energy per year for the next 3 years. In addition, a portion of our clean energy commitment is through the CTCleanEnergy Options Program.

The majority of our renewable energy mix will be sourced through wind power and approximately 30% of the purchase will be a blend of renewable sources including locally generated wind and hydroelectric.

At that level of participation in the program, Curtis Packaging will help Newtown (Sandy Hook), CT begin to qualify for a free solar electric system and become a Clean Energy Community.
