As part of the Curtis’s commitment to be an inustry regarding environmental issues and its commitment to be one of the premiere eco-friendly packaging production organizations, it is an active member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition.

The coalition’s mission is to: “advocate and communicate a positive, robust environmental vision for packaging and to support innovative, functional packaging materials and systems that promote economic environmental health through supply chain collaboration.”Sustainable Packaging is one of the key mandates of Curtis Packaging.

The coalition’s mission links with the company’s objectives of being an outstanding environmental citizen. Curtis uses 100% renewable energy exclusively 85% of which is wind power. Curtis is one of the few companies in North America to be certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and to have been commanded by the EPA for the company’s strong commitment to using replenishable resources.

Curtis Packaging joins major Fortune 500 companies like Kraft Foods, Starbucks, and Microsoft as a member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition.
