CurtCOAT is the most recent new laminate-like product recently introduced to the package printing industry. CurtCOAT is a new ultra-gloss eco-friendly UV coating proprietary product that provides a mirror like shine of film lamination without the high costs of an off-line process.

As more and more companies are inquiring about film lamination for their packaging, there enthusiasm for the process is often affected by high costs, time constraints and poor sustainability. That is one of the integral reasons why Curtis developed CurtCOAT as an affordable environmentally friendly alternative.

CurtCOAT can be applied to any coated paperboard substrate including foil or metalized laminates and can be used on all types of packaging. That provides Curtis Packaging customers with unlimited opportunities to take advantage of the higher gloss/lower cost process. A significant advantage is that CurtCOAT is durable and glossy giving it an extra degree of protection to the carton.

CurtCOAT joins the family of affordable printing effects that have been developed by Curtis Packaging in recent years. They include CurtCHROME which simulates the brilliance of foil laminate, and CurtCRYSTAL which exhibits the rich feel and texture of micro embossing as well as delivering diamond like brilliance to packaging.
